To help us understand a technical problem, include your iPhone or iPad model, iOS version, First Take build number, what you expected and the steps that led to the issue. Do not email confidential script pages or NDA-protected material.

Signing in

First Take uses a one-time six-digit code sent to your email address. It does not use a password. If the code does not arrive, check the address, look in spam or junk mail, and use Resend code on the verification screen.

Account and data

You can permanently delete your First Take account from the Account screen in the app. Account deletion removes your account and server-owned app data, then attempts to clear First Take user data from that device. If the app reports a local cleanup failure, delete and reinstall First Take before signing in again.

Deleting your First Take account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel the subscription separately in your Apple subscription settings.

Deleting a prep

Deleting a prep from Notebook removes its First Take server record and related server-side data. The app also attempts to remove that prep's device-local sides, markup and linked Run Lines sessions. If it reports a local cleanup failure, delete and reinstall First Take before working with confidential material again.

Purchases and subscriptions

Apple handles payment and billing. In First Take, open Account to purchase Studio, the Pro tier, restore purchases, redeem an eligible offer code or, when you have active access, open Apple subscription management.

If a completed purchase does not appear, try Restore Purchases from Account before contacting support.

Safety

Hands-Free provides larger controls and text for rehearsal at a distance. Use it in a setting where you can safely interact with your device.
